indesign cs5.5 version 7.5 running on packard bell core i5 laptop, win10 (previously win7)   i've had long term problem indesign, first noticed paragraph break wasn't working, on months began realise keyboard shortcuts dont work, in preferences seem empty, looks default set not loading.   i've tried 'delete hidden files' & 'ctrl-alt-shift' methods seem work except don't solve problem.   anyone able give advice? seems maybe need download deault set of preferences somewhere? owners of old programs have problems windows 10... none of adobe's fault... adobe did not change old program make stop working... microsoft changed operating system , why old program won't work, not because of adobe did... also... every time microsoft issues win10 update, there risk old program has been working after initial win10 upgrade stop working... bottom line, old programs require matching old operating system   an idea may work install and/or run old programs in w...

hi. i'm preparing these multiple application forms happen contain similar field different presentation.   example, "name" in application form 1 divisible 10 combs. presented way. hi there,   i tried ask adobe support this, sent me here, since "will not how-to-instructions". okay.   so, i'm having problem the live screen drawing in indesign. usually, when moved placed image inside of frame, area of image that's outside of frame set in 50% transparency. since reinstall of whole cloud system, indesign shows whole image in 100% opacity , blends out frame.   example: placed portrait inside of circle , want move image right. move image, circle-frame gone , image shown in full opacity. after placing photo, frame comes , shows me final result. desired workflow touch image, move it, image parts outside of frame grayed out , after placing, mood fine   i added screenshot of (german) preferences, far know, these optimal settings – guys know better!   thanks help christin   might gpu rendering issue? try switching on/off.   total guess mind you. hey everyone,   i have ai file have created multiple artboards (different size images of same image).   when "save as" pdf , choose 1 art board, file size same though saving entire ai file. if delete other art on art boards, file size becomes reasonable.   for example. the original ai file 75mb. if "save as" art board 4 pdf = 75mb if delete other art , "save as" pdf = 17.5mb   this frustrating because assumed purpose of exporting 1 artboard ignored other art boards. doesn't seem case , causing me issues. rather not have delete other art every time save file. ideas?   thanks,   clm did uncheck "illustrator editability"?   which options did set? hi, can't upload documents online dashboard in indesign cc2017, error h#1 appears "an error occurred while connecting" , have uninstall program , installed  several times error still appear. can do? are talking publish online? publish online has dashboard in indesign.   can provide screen capture of error message, , use "camera" icon attach message here in web interface. i've never seen error "h#1". pubish online errors should 10, 16, 17, etc. More discussions in InDesign adobe

i design product labels in illustrator, , have been 20 years, don't know illustrator. switched printing companies our labels.   last week made simple lip balm label prints on white stock. it's one-color blue flood bleeds, , outlined text reversed out in white - base color of label stock; white spec'd cmyk 0/0/0/0 in swatches panel.   our printer rejected file saying can't use white color because cmyk printer can't print white (obviously) , when sees cmyk white doesn't know it.   so same result without using white, cut outlined type out of blue (using pathfinder > minus back).   this gave effect wanted, but when printed type came out thin, choked . in fact, on-screen @ 100% 400% size (...lip balm labels not big) type looks choked. when enlarged 3200% , laid on top of each other comparison, type sizes identical.   so first, illustrator show chokes on-screen, or anomaly?   and second, suggestions can fix problem? suppose can stroke type make fatter before u...

hi,   i've edited simple sequence 1 mxf-file cut (from 1:32:00 hrs 00:25:00 hrs), png-files added on layer on top, , that's it.   when imported mxf-file, automatically opened converter, stopped because taking 2 hours convert file, unnnecesary believed.   when want export file, stops after while, giving message "file not exist", see image.`   should have mxf-file converted first? , if yes, why so?   thanks input.   luc it automatically opened converter   huh?
