Illustrator panels display color differences - going completely crazy!!!!
help!
i frustrated , can't seem answer problem. when use illustrator or indesign on hp envy 23 desktop running windows 10, few panels display correct color, of them display same, yet wrong, color. actual cmyk value correct instance, in screenshot below, appears pink. not happen in photoshop or acrobat.
my dell laptop, running windows 10 not this. both systems upgraded cc 2017. (i'm not sure when error started occurring, guess approx. 4 months ago) upgraded windows 10 same time on both systems , update cc apps same time. have checked, double checked, , triple checked settings on both laptop , desktop. same. color settings synchronized via bridge. have calibrated monitor on desktop. didn't think problem in first place tried anyway. know difference in rgb , cmyk , when use each, etc.
my color guide panel , libraries panel both display red should be. other panels display color pink, yet cmyk true red. check out color picker panel, instance. on left shows pink, yet can see chosen color red , cmyk code correct.
when print epson printer, desired "red" looking for. when print preview shows red well. see below. have been using adobe creative cloud years , have never had problem. have googled, read forums, called adobe, , called hp. no 1 can seem me , each person has different idea. end going down path of color management education has been either far or far little.
this happens other colors if take @ yellows, greens, blues, etc. not quite bright. ****the way have found fix far me visually looking @ set color settings "emulate adobe illustrator 6.0." while makes "look nice" me, throws profiles off , can imagine, causes problems.
this has got kind of panel display issue in creative cloud. ms word, paint, mention few fine. have no problem displaying correct colors except in illustrator , indesign.
if wanted create digital representation of nice red apple, print myself, , send file client have them take somewhere professionally printed, there doesn't seem problem. except fact when @ apple on hp desktop screen via illustrator, apple pink!
i'm hoping snake , staring me in face , simple. can help? , other info need?

you didn’t mention if had trashed/rebuilt illustrator’s preferences. if not, please try that.
restart illustrator , press , hold alt+control+shift (windows) or option+command+shift (mac os). have lightning fast @ hover fingers on keys restart illustrator , mash nano-second after launch illustrator. if not dialogue box asking if want trash preferences, slow , need close illustrator , try again…and try again. let know if color problem persists after that.
