background image in ID won't reveal itself.

trying add image in background adheres bottom of screen (sticky).

  background: url('img/bg-img.jpg') no-repeat;

  position: absolute;

  width: 100%;

  height: 652px;

bottom:0;

  left:0;

}

 

<footer><div id="footer"> other footer text, etc in here , closing id tag after content </div></footer>

like - background image won't show @ all!

 

any suggestions?

have tried changing <div id ="footer"> <div id ="footerbg"> match name of css rule?
