Will phonegap developer app not play local audio with the Media plugin?

i downloaded phonegap developer app tests github, include media plugin tests:

now, bryce.mp3 doesn't exist in www folder added mp3, m4a, wav , ogg, www folder, test on ios , used src="my_sound.mp3/m4a/etc".

 

all 4 tests produce error:  "cannot use audio file resource"

 

i found link on forums here, seems saying audio files aren't deployed iphone/ipad:

based upon code , associated error messages, trying play file app's bundled assets. when app being run in phonegap developer app, however, no mechanism exists physically push assets being served pg developer app's bundled assets. such, play request fails because file can't found.

 

have understood correctly?

 

i can't understand why css, js, html , images deployed not audio files.

 

also, work around says:

a temporary workaround verify can, indeed, play media file change path this:     http://dev-machine-ip-address:pg-serve-port/www/shuffle.mp3

i tried produced same error code.

 

note audio files work external urls, i'm not interested in, need local file working on ios through phonegap developer app.

this still case. it's considered edge case when dealing pg dev app, , know of no way around atm.

 

the issue phonegap developer app phonegap app, , app bundles cannot changed. when try play media file app's bundle if built app using cli or pgb, you're trying play pg dev app's bundle -- , of course, file doesn't exist there, hence issue.

 

as temporary workaround, i'm not sure if work anymore. might see you're using serve app -- phonegap desktop app or cli ("phonegap serve") , temp url tried.
