Replace text and insert text edits transposed

i editing pdf in adobe acrobat pro dc, v. 2015.020.20042, on mac os 10.11.6

 

when attempt replace text selecting , typing, or when attempt insert text typing @ cursor, first 2 letters type transposed in comment box.

 

every.

 

single.

 

time.

 

if type more 2 letters, intended first letter gets pushed end. example, if type correction, "ah," "ha" in comment box. if type "hah," result "ahh".

 

i've noted problem in earlier versions haven't edited pdf in year. no doubt there particular set-up conflicting acrobat, can't believe i'm one.

 

i have 96 edits remaining in document. thanks, adobe.

are talking actual edits file (should avoided as possible), or adding comments file?
