Adobe Reader_Printing failed by using a new port that was added by Printer Properties screen.


hi all,

i have problem adobe reader application. i printed document below:

(1) using printer configured standard tcp/ip port , using lpr protocols.

open document using adobe reader , select "file" menu -> "print".

-> document printed normally.

(2) re-open document , select "file" menu -> "print"

(3) goto [print management] screen

(4) right click printer -> select "properties...".

(5)  click [add port...] button on [ports] tab of printer properties screen. add new (valid) standard tcp/ip port.

(6) print document clicking [印刷] (print) button on print dialog

-> nothing printed (against expectation).

[supplementary explanation]

when microsoft office 2010 (word, excel , power point) , notepad used (instead of adobe reader), problem did not occur. means document printed printer @ above-mentioned step (6).

 

i not explain why nothing printed @ step (6). guess problem may limitation of adobe reader application.

have tried restarting system after adding port.

try restarting computer, , print , see if works.

 

could please let me know version of adobe reader installed on machine?

launch reader>help>about adobe reader.

 

which operating system installed on machine?
