acrobat xi -- can someone recommend a good, in-depth, tutorial/reference for creating custom dialogs

i need find good, in-depth, tutorial/reference creating custom dialogs.

 

one starts @ square one, not assuming know acrobat object model , acrobat javascript intimately.

 

i want create custom dialog prompts user via radio buttons folder want save current document to.  it's not going complex, want right.

 

i see numerous code samples here in forums, instead of trying adapt examples don't yet understand, want structured approach take me step step through building own.

unfortunately, there no such thing - or @ least not aware of comes close asking. keep in mind custom dialogs among complex things can acrobat's javascript.

 

in order create custom dialogs, need understanding of javascript data structures. there no way around that. creating object when create dialog. need know how done in javascript in order understand how dialog object needs created.

 

you can find tutorials on pdfscripting.com, need subscription view them: video tutorials

 

here suggest: familiar enough javascript examples in acrobat sdk not scare away. try understand documentation app.execdialog() - includes understanding examples.  can find documentation here: acrobat dc sdk documentation - app.execdialog()
