Unknown Error from Internal Server Posting - Worked Fine a Month Ago

i use captivate create cbt (computer-based training) applications called our web application. have had our internal server posting using asp/c# working fine past 2 years , (somewhere on last month) receiving "unknown error" in status message during quiz result posting. when working, parsing filedata (output) posting extract user-defined variables pass-through application data , score data quiz loaded sql database; however, file no longer being generated (or named) correctly , parsing fails.

 

i using captivate 7 , 8 files (published swf , html5) on windows 7 platform connected sql server 2012 server - application calls captivate files asp front end c# backside. chrome (current version 54) our preferred browser our application use ie when necessary. not sure if captivate issue, browser issue, server issue, network issue, or subset combination of each - @ loss investigate next.

 

even when attempt 'preview' within captivate, same "unknown error" - why i'm suspecting our server (or network) not returning proper response captivate indicate successful connection internal server posting. note: supplying bad url internal server in captivate generate "wrong url" error in status message window when posting.

 

any ideas? thanks.

after battling 'unknown error' problem days myself decided quick procmon trace on our web server , found @ least problem php70_errors.log file in c:\windows\temp on our iis 8 server didn't have permissions iusr write it. after changed popup window displayed 'results posted successfully' correctly shown on screenshot.
