Low fps and doesn’t automatically render the clips.

i added solid layer project, , did saber effect 2 seconds. when play entire video pressing space bar, goes extremely slow, , showing got 3 fps in real time. little narraow green bar (the rendering bar?) not render automatically, render when drag indicator or play video. there anyway solve that? notice after effect says gpu not supported, mine gtx970m.

the first insight can give after effects not real time playback software. it's not premiere example. unless using 1 video or simple setup, won't able hit space bar , watch play in real-time until loads frames memory (the green bar). can load frames memory caching them try play , play them when in memory, or can cache before playback first load them memory , play them. these preview settings can configured shortcuts in preview panel.

i notice after effect says gpu not supported, mine gtx970m.

about gpu - message saw ray-traced  3d renderer obsolete , gpu not supported use of renderer. on cc 2017 can use superior c4d renderer same thing better, , works on cpu, not gpu.
