Mask/Hide Animated Still Without Duplication/Compositing

i have still image of tv screen on table, extended in timeline 1 minute.

during minute want animate different things on screen.

i trying still image of kid on tricycle(transparent background .png) animate across tv screen left right.

i need on tv screen on table, kid on tricycle needs masked can't see

the still image of him, left, outside tv. when crosses in front of tv screen square area goes left right.

hope can understand getting at.

 

now, can duplicating still image of tv, , putting @ top of stacking order,

draw mask on tv, , invert mask. show video layer underneath of kid on tricycle,

only when crosses masked area, viola. done.

 

just wondering if there method, easier way, duplication?

 

is there video shows how can done in premiere pro cc?

i can in after effects easy, sure have done in premiere using masking or something.

 

i took 8 month break editing, , @ it. rusty.
