Big black box around my output as .flv or .mov (Milo)

someone made video of me , uploaded youtube , looked great,

but wanted add text screen in number of places.

i'm amateur editor @ best, can find way around cs5 program and

put text in suit needs.

when output video .flv, noticed there thick black box around video

when watched .flv on adobe player.  , when uploaded .flv youtube, was

there well.  tried changing output .mov results same.

returning adobe premiere, see there's black box around video

in window 1 plays video see how it's looking (not sure what

the name of window is), whether have set "fit" or "100%", still see the

black border in playback on premiere itself.  i'm thinking problem may not in

exporting, in how have settings in premiere.

so question is:

1)  doing wrong causing black box?

2)  can change without having start on or did blow start in starting the

project , there's nothing can it?

thanks much!  - milo

hi milo,

the sequence setting not match video. instance, sequence might 1080p while actual video clip smaller @ 720p, space.

not sure if have these options in older cs5, see if there new item button @ lower right of project bin. drag clip onto create new sequence matches footage. or right-click clip , select new sequence clip.

lastly, not use .flv, youtube likes h.264. again, being cs5 can't know options sure, choose h.264 format , @ presets list , scroll down , see if have youtube presets, know cs6 , newer do. choose 1 matches video size , frame rate.

edit: can create proper new sequence, copy/paste contents of original sequence new one. however, titles you'd made may wrong size now, may have re-do anyway.

thanks
