Premiere Pro CC 2017 - (Running on Yosemite 10.10.5) - Crashes on saves

hello community!

 

i'm running imac, (stats: processor: 3.5ghz intel core i7, ram: 32gb 1600 mhz, graphics: nvidia geforce btx 780m 4096mb).

 

i'm video editor. i'm starting new project, , know, it's best start , finish new projects in whichever version of software want in whole time. updated cc suite 2017! yay! new stuff!

 

the footage red raw 6k footage dragon, big files, nothing shouldn't able handle. running through 21tb g-speed studio xl raid-formatted drive, on thunderbolt connection. currently, there's 3tb of footage being accessed total.

 

so. start new project. import red files right way, without weird extended takes thing red does. audio: it's musical, have 4 audio clips per video clip, i'm sync-ing files creating new sequences each. nbd, fine.

 

i go save. fine. fine. fine. then... blam, out of nowhere, whole computer shuts down, goes black. what!?

 

restart. cry poor raid getting jerked around. plug in. run premiere. going again. save once, fine. save again, blam again. computer goes dark.

 

called apple half hour, talked 3 different people @ adobe, told me save project locally (which sort of worked, not project-long solution, because don't want lose project file), , 1 person had me change subfolders premiere had reset preferences reason, , other person told me problem raid or mac, not adobe software. okayyyyyy, call apple. since it's not software, they're nice, can't besides helping me run diagnostic on computer , raid. fine.

 

so yeah, else having problem? i've decided revert cc 2015.3 premiere, after effects, media encoder, , possibly few others, project. i'm officially 1 day behind, trying solve this, i'm gonna use previous version. if out there has run same thing, i'd love hear work-around.

i suspect might have running yosemite.  maybe sierra fare better.  still on yosemite because sierra doesn't recognize usb3 drives, , sure slow boot.

when upgrade trashcan imac, consider using sierra adobe 2017.  till 1 of weirdos doesn't upgrade.
