Illustrator PDF not exporting with transparent backgrounds.

hello!

 

i use illustrator cc2015.5. may crazy, seems latest round of updates causing pdfs saved illustrator flattened. when import graphics indesign objects, have white backgrounds instead of transparent ones. have been using illustrator many years, , used able "save pdf" bring images indesign transparent backgrounds. frustrated, can't figure out what's going on!

 

before tell me save graphics eps, have vendors require high resolution pdfs when delivering images. pdfs retain transparency when brought photoshop.  saving pdfs @ 1.5 , higher settings in pdf preferences. drop pdfs documents keep file sizes manageable.

 

also having transparency issues when saving eps files. effects not retaining transparency when imported indesign. tried of recommendations in forum far. did not start having these problems until more recent updates. what's going on!?!

did preview document in illustrator shift command d confirm transparency exists?

Adobe InDesign CC 2017 has stopped working

after installing indesign cc 2017 first time, when try launch application error "adobe indesign cc 2017 has stopped working" i have tried following: uninstalling , reinstalling indesign deleting files c:\users\<user>\appdata\roaming\adobe\indesign , c:\users\<user>\appdata\local\adobe\indesign i've uninstalled (i think) fonts had downloaded , installed restarted computer many times signed out of creative cloud , signed in   i able install , run on different computer i'm assuming there sort of conflict or missing component on computer.   computer details: processor intel core i7-4770k ram 16 gb os windows 10 pro ver. 1607 build: 14393.447 video card nvidia geforce gtx 970     this error windows event logs: faulting application name: indesign.exe, version: 12.0.0.81, time stamp: 0x57f545c7 faulting module name: appframework.rpln, version: 12.0.0.81, time stamp: 0x57f547eb exception code: 0xc0000005 fault offset: 0x000000000009fa88 faulting process id: 0xcac...
