How to get uncommitted location data (city, location, country) ??

hello all,

 

i 'm trying write simple plugin copy location data reverse geocoding (city, country ...) in keyword metadata.

the thing empty string. in lightroom, these data available greyed. seems because these data not committed photo.

 

i have looked issue on web , seems know bug (or not ?).

 

do know if there workaround problem or others solution ?

i don't know if adobe classify "bug" -- seems behaving designed it.  it's poor design (in opinion of many of us): lightroom: improve control on reverse-geocoded location metadata | photoshop family customer community

 

my tag plugin gets access uncommitted location fields of photo exporting (at small dimensions) , using exiftool read metadata fields.  it's not fastest solution, exiftool can process 60 photos per second on macbook pro (when processing photos in batch).

you might check out search replace transfer plugin.  copies location fields keywords , vice versa.  i'm not sure if handles uncommitted location fields, if doesn't, use tag's commit locations command (free).
