Cannot Set Photoshop CC 2017 to Default Program

hello! wasn't able find similar question me, asking 1 resolve issue.

 

i have 3, windows 7, computers running latest cc 2017 programs. illustrator , indesign work fine.

 

photoshop, however, has lost ability open files file window. can open files in photoshop going file > open, in photoshop itself.

 

i have tried set photoshop default program opening various image files, program not appear in default program section of windows. such, have tried go in through file window , select photoshop open there (see image)

i able find photoshop cc 2017 "choose default program..." option seen in image above, however, when click confirm, window closes , nothing happens. file not open @ all, , photoshop not appear in "open with" set of programs.

 

i hope can assist this, disrupting workflow of 3 computers.

Adobe InDesign CC 2017 has stopped working

after installing indesign cc 2017 first time, when try launch application error "adobe indesign cc 2017 has stopped working" i have tried following: uninstalling , reinstalling indesign deleting files c:\users\<user>\appdata\roaming\adobe\indesign , c:\users\<user>\appdata\local\adobe\indesign i've uninstalled (i think) fonts had downloaded , installed restarted computer many times signed out of creative cloud , signed in   i able install , run on different computer i'm assuming there sort of conflict or missing component on computer.   computer details: processor intel core i7-4770k ram 16 gb os windows 10 pro ver. 1607 build: 14393.447 video card nvidia geforce gtx 970     this error windows event logs: faulting application name: indesign.exe, version: 12.0.0.81, time stamp: 0x57f545c7 faulting module name: appframework.rpln, version: 12.0.0.81, time stamp: 0x57f547eb exception code: 0xc0000005 fault offset: 0x000000000009fa88 faulting process id: 0xcac...
