Trying to burn blu-ray via ISO image- No longer working

please if can! used work me no longer since upgrading os system el capitan. i've tried on late 2011 imac 2014 macbook pro- both no success. same series of messages: error code 3, try burning @ slower speed(s), or incompatible media, etc... different message pops each time.

 

the external drive samsungse-506. both systems won't recognize device unless open disk utility. able start burn through finder (as have learned approached here) won't finish job. samsung device? discs (phillips)? said, both worked in previous projects have upgraded el capitan running problem. maybe samsung drive can't keep newer os?

 

please help. i'll buy new drive if need i'd rather not being 1 still functions.

encore builds iso successfully?

 

if so, burn toast or users seemed work disk utility. not mac user, never quite sure.
