How can I safely remove duplicate folders in lightroom

hello,

 

a while ago managed create 2 folders in lightroom both pointing same file location.

 

in order fix this, tried deleting 1 of folders, ended deleting images in catalog, had roll things back.

having said that, best way resolve issue?

 

install details:

os: windows 10
lr version: 2015.7 cc

my 1st strategy conclude whether these flolders 2 separate or of same spelled cap , not. right click folder, should have ability "show in finder (imac users)" or info. win10 still should give option see folder located on pc. there compare 2 folders , decide next move, delete or mathe copy , move delete extra. hope thought process might help.
