Flash Player .exe file won't open

hi,

 

i trying update flash player on older pc use exclusively pandora (which wants me upgrade flash).

it windows xp , used firefox download file "flashplayer23_ga_install(1).exe"

when double click on file nothing happens. need please

this due certificate signing issue.  windows xp (except xp service pack 3) lacking support latest signing technologies.  can try using offline installer posted @ bottom of installation problems | flash player | windows 7 , earlier page in 'still having problems' section, however, there no guarantee it'll work. see security advisory 2880823: recommendation discontinue use of sha-1 - security research & defense - site home - techn…for more information.

 

what service pack, if any, have installed on xp system?

 

see how check windows xp service pack installed on computer?

 

if don't have service pack 3 installed, you'll need install it, @ minimum, installer work. latest flash player installers signed using sha-256 signing certificates.  older versions of xp not support sha-256.
