Inserting hyperlinks into a 3D .pdf
i'm historic building surveyor , use photoscan create 3d models of buildings: https://skfb.ly/wql7
i'm hoping use technology allow clients move around building in 3d .pdf , click on icon i've placed in location of defect. i'm hoping icon can link particular section of condition report (which can form part of same document), discusses defect, cause , solution.
can tell me if possible please, , if is, how go implementing it?
thanks,
rupert
it's possible.
you'd need develop javascript detect when user selected 1 of pdf icons (a mesh or node) placed , trigger script in document go location determined icon. if have control on pdf creation, you'd add metadata each icon script identify go. if can't control pdf creation, you'd need sort of authoring tool can create lookup table identify node , associate link or something. of doable.
that said, 3d pdf javascript , pdf document javascript (for lack of better term) 2 separate contexts , crossing them non-trivial if familiar javascript programming isn't insurmountable. i've created sort of functionality other customers in past.
