Image Trace - how to get good results on big images?

hi,

 

i'd imagetrace map. image has high resolution, round 5600 pixels in width. somehow can't results. tried kind of settings without gettings results. surprisingly results if take small area of picture , trace same settings. seems illustrator blurs image before tracing corresponding it's size, means doesn't blur small image or little while blurs **** out of big image. can see vectorimage on right side has less details , lake melted street.

 

does has sugggestions?

make smaller segments, trace them , piece together.

but lot of work.

 

this not kind of content function has been designed for.

 

since it's map: getting data openstreetmap or buying authorities? sure there has gis data of this.
