Why is Bridge CS6 failing to store keywords in some of my images?

i have been using adobe bridge cs6 many years tag canon cr2 raw files , also, more recently, panasonic lumix rw2 raw files. have tagged tens of thousands of images without problem, after processing batch of 878 holiday images on past few days have noticed small number of them not retaining of keywords. have tried many times without effect. rather oddly, not same images affected. however, appear have total of 26 images fail retain keywords after exiting bridge. suggests me might hitting limit in system.

 

in case relevant, running latest version of windows 10 on pc , bridge cs6 version 5.0.2.4 x64. bridge cache 8.95gb in size , contains 58,857 files.

 

can shed light on problem?

edited: clarify 26 affected images not same.

problem solved!

 

i use breeze systems downloader pro transfer images pc , software configured rename each image in standard manner works canon camera. used same process import images wife's new panasonic lumix without thinking through in enough detail. bottom line have number of images share same filename prior extension.

 

a pair of images names pic123.cr2 , pic123.rw2 each generate xmp file called pic123.xmp. updated keywords pic123.cr2, overwrite stored metadata pic123.rw2, , vice versa.

 

it's time me reconsider file renaming scheme non cr2 files...
