Need help with object state in drag and drop
i want drag sources apply effect of dissolving downward (or otherwise disappear) when dragged upon drag target. i've watched 2 videos on topic , think understand do, don't seem have required options in properties using captivate 9.0.2.421. in 1 approach i've tried, action "change state to" grayed out me: http://screencast.com/t/fikfhrczi in approach, not have object actions option http://screencast.com/t/7ypsk4iqj where think it's supposed be. not doing right, cannot figure out!
most tutorials pretty incomplete, sorry so. video quick way show something, not explain in depth.
first of all: in captivate 9 d&d objects have inbuilt states. questions, suspect not aware of those? have @ blog post explaining states:
drag&drop in 2016 captivate 9 - captivate blog
in first video point actions tab d&d interactions. action executed when submit button has been clicked. don't think want? can trigger advanced action @ moment, , you'll have commands change state there, first have add custom states drag or drop objects.
in second video show cannot see object actions. become visible when select drop target. more info in older post:
drag&drop tips - captivate blog
when select drop target, you'll find in format tab snap options. can indicate have drop sources shrink smaller size, disappear behind drop target or become more or less transparant changing alpha setting. maybe want? easiest way.
