Installing Acrobat XI and DC on one system

hey guys,

 

i'm little confused on this. have found blogs , posts online indicating possible install acrobat xi , dc on same system. others indicate not. 1 post saw had screenshots indicating option *not* uninstall xi when installing dc , others indicating message @ install-time saying older versions of acrobat uninstalled.

 

i did test installing dc 2015-020-20039 on install of acrobat 11.0.18 , 11 uninstalled no indication whatsoever 11 removed.

 

there forum post indicating solution may have been found no explanation:

 

acrobat dc install alongwith acrobat 11

 

here's adobe post indicating 2 can coexist:

 

using acrobat x, xi, , dc on same machine

 

can please clarify if @ possible install both on same windows (e.g. win 7 x64) system or whether dc install can prevented removing xi?
