Opened a backup, files gone

hi,

i opened backup last month, hoping restore pictures app says not found, , few of pictures on backup can found well. wanted restore had make sure didn't lose others, , won't restore library backup did few minutes ago. can me? why won't backups restore pictures? don't want lose them all!

mac or windows? version?

which exact number version of lightroom?

 

what kind of "backup" opening?

 

lightroom create backups of catalog file (*.lrcat). since images not "in" catalog, on hard drive other document, need backups of images outside of lightroom using whatever backup method of choosing.

 

if lr thinks images missing, common problem used finder or explorer move them or rename folder. if did this, use lr folders panel in library module tell lr moved things to.
