How can I prevent the pen tool from automatically connecting lines that are drawn near each other?

i use adobe acrobat pro work—i edit book covers , manuscripts. mark text , put notes in margins if pen , paper using huion monitor touch-screen pen. works great, there 1 extremely frustrating feature can't figure out how turn off. whenever write fast, say, whenever write @ normal speed, lines make automatically connect lines around them.  example, when make hashtag in margin, have slow myself down, or else first vertical line attaches second 1 @ top, , same thing happens 2 horizontal lines:  2016-10-28 09_47_57-wanted dead or alive.ckv.pdf - adobe acrobat pro dc.png

this happens writing well.  in example, did not purposely connect of letters, after picking pen , moving on next letter, previous line auto-connects current line: 2016-10-28 09_49_01-wanted dead or alive.ckv.pdf - adobe acrobat pro dc.png  can barely tell word “little.” have resigned myself using cursive of time avoid picking pen, causing serious delays in work overall, cursive fix isn't foolproof , have erase , rewrite instructions clear coworkers. connected speed, since writing doesn't cause problem, have been unable train myself write enough on last few months i've struggled this.

is there way change setting?  way prevent lines automatically connecting?

(it reminds me of autocorrect fails in texting—you type word want, changes whatever phone thinks want instead. grrr)
