I need a PRO for an odd problem with LR 5.3 on a Win 8 computer

hello!  i've been @ problem week plus couple of lr "gurus," no avail, here go again.

 

  week or ago, went export files,and received message:  "the lightroom catalog named, "lightroom 5," catalog" cannot opened because application has opened.  quit other copy of lightroom before trying launch."

 

below paragraph, box 3 options, ""chose different catalog"  "continue"  & "exit"

 

the past people told me use windows explorer locate locate file named "lock"...well, doesn't exist.

 

any takers?

use operating system's search feature find files name ends .lock, didn't find because looking in wrong folder.

hello all, have problem, in ios 10.1.1 on ipad, since upgrade, acrobat has hidden side bar on right hand side of screen , open acrobat inadvertently no matter am, on home screen or in app. how can permanently disable this? have not found answer on internet. sorry if inept... thank in advance tips can give me. hi,   that's feature of ios, not acrobat reader.   here steps disable multitasking.   go settings > general > multitasking. turn off "allow multiple apps" option.     hope helps. Photoshop CC 2017 - Ruler Tool - Error 8007...

hello,   just after installed latest version , update (cc 2017), used ruler tool when clicked on [straighten layer], photoshop said "could not transform because initial bounding rectangle empty."   so, clicked on [ok] button , then...photoshop said: "error... error 8007:user cancelled operation line:222 ->     layerref.rotate( angle * 180.0 / math.pi );"   here screenshot: https://s22.postimg.org/rttfh7mwf/photoshop_error8007.png   i don't think kind of error users me, developers. so yes, apparently...there error in script, guys...         p.s : update (cc 2017) is a real disaster on windows 10 professional 64bits because after update, couldn't open, create file or open document anymore! when tried close photoshop, illustrator or program, still running in background weird reason! (task manager) i stuck , couldn't work clients!!! so, needed uninstall , reinstall everything from scratch , including creative cloud! hell goi...
