Unable to update Photoshop Elements 13
i installed photoshop 13 retail disc purchased amazon in february of 2915. cannot find license number , 13.1 "update" requires that enter it. have retail disc , amazon not keep records of purchases form 2015. supposed now?

the serial number should in box attached inside of on cover of dvds. have looked carefully?
if don't have serial number can't activate because having dvds not proof have bought because people can download free trial version without serial number , use 30 days. need after these things because these days can't buy software without serial numbers.
also, software requires activation , internet connection required. telephone method laborious , prone errors.
