lost catalog

i upgraded lr3 lr5 in august of 2015.

i subscribed creative cloud photography plan in april of 2016.

i store photos on external drive.

i using separate external hard drive time machine backups -- drive seems have failed.

i not sure kept catalog -- know, know...this boneheaded don't know. don't see on external drive photos on. can't find on internal hard drive.

i upgraded home computer 2007 imac macbook pro month ago.

i had apple store data transfer old imac macbook pro.

i can't find catalog lr cc. big problem right now.

phone support has not helped solve problem.

can me find catalog?

if not, do now? how create new catalog?

the obvious first question- have searched drives (internal & external) catalog files have suffix { *.lrcat }

and don't have time machine backups?
