Photoshop vs. Illustrator for Designing Apparel

for designing apparel (shirts, sweaters, pants, jackets etc.), better use photoshop or illustrator? or both?

i understand better use illustrator creating logos or t-shirt designs, program best use designing patterns striped t-shirt or camouflage?

you want use illustrator.  it's vector graphics editing program.  photoshop bitmap editing program.
