Help! Acrobat DC periodically freezes when I am highlighting a PDF document.

the problem sporadic, there isn't set amount of highlighting triggers it. occurs after try , highlight first line, other times make through of document before there issue. when program freezes can typically still save document if click icon fast enough, after whole program freezes. freezes laptop , have resort opening task manager through keyboard shortcuts in order close program. once this, unfreezes.

 

i running adobe acrobat dc pro on windows 10 home version 1607.

 

i have seen other similar issues, no specific fixes. have attempted repair program , have reinstalled twice. had adobe reader installed on system , removed in case 2 interfering each other. neither of these actions have corrected problem.

 

any suggestions appreciated!

this problem has been posted several places on site - there still no solution??   please provide workaround. stated in other posts on past 2 years, frustrating , time-consuming.  need highlight text in pdf files, using function causes acrobat freeze.

 

i've used acrobat years, started having problem today.  i'm using adobe acrobat reader dc version 2017.012.20098 on windows 7 home premium, service pack 1.
