Why is enlargement of small details a problem on a iMac?

i working lightroom 6 cc on rather new imac , on macbook pro, same version of lr , same version of operating system. detail enlargements work on macbook, in parts on imac. if detail ist rather small , want enlarge original size of picture on imac, can not whole size of original picture. able explain me reason , - better - how avoid this. of course, can zoom picture got detail, doesn't help, if picture part of series other pictures (which have right size) want export. in case comes smaller picture in exported collection.

how of picture can see depends on size in pixels of image, size in pixels of monitor, , size in pixels of lr panels @ edges of screen.

 

the navigation zoom control (upper left) control how big picture shown you.

 

the zoom on screen has nothing size of exported image. size of exported image controlled export dialog.

 

what image viewer using view exported images outside of lightroom?
