Exporting to PDF, seeing a line I don't see on the artboard from hyperlink

hello all,

 

i adobe novice, , picking pieces unfinished project left colleague.

 

we wanted edit pdf update our brochure (to print more copies, without typos).

 

my colleague created illustrator file of pdf , put hyperlinks old text -- left our organization. deleted old text, , added new text. looks on artboard. but, when try export pdf, see these 2 lines not visible on artboard. when click lines, links hyperlinked pages.

 

when scroll mouse on places in artboard, tried delete lines, won't go away. become invisible on artboard, still there when export pdf.

 

any ideas how remove these, or @ least move them aligned text want link?

 

at first when tried delete them, entire design in background of brochure disappear. reason design stays, though think deleting lines. tried cover them putting white square on top of them (in front of lines, behind text), still show in pdf.

 

thank tips or ideas can give me!
