Different Product and Catalog Template - best way to go about it?

apologies in advance if painfully obvious using liquid, i'm stuck pretty firmly in pre-liquid universe -- although open using solve issue:

 

i'd use different template catalog page - i.e page displays items -- , large product. since both rely on page_content.html, i'm having tough time working out best way this.

 

ideally catalog page generated automatically show sidebar , main product page not, open constructing separate page each catalog if solve issue. {module_productlistdump} way go?

 

apologies in advance if these seems silly, it's had me stumped know there has way fix it.

hey there,

they can not have different templates have have one. full width clean template.

in page content overal shop layout have need left side in catalogue , not on detail.

 

the key bit of liquid looking following:

{% unless globals.get.productid -%}

 

this exists until on detail page. id value exists when on product detail view.

so can wrapp in sidebar code or else , show on catalogue view.
