Need help with creating my own trim lines

i doing photo book using blurb's plug-in id. customer service department recommended create own "trim lines" within document, since photos using extend blurb's magenta trim line.

 

i thought had set correctly, proofing book, , i've discovered measurements off.

so, questions are:

 

1. can fix on master pages , "apply master pages" correct grid lines in place, , move photos around they're in right spots, right?

 

2. how create "trim lines" equidistant blurb's magenta trim lines? tried "eyeball" know there's got way automatically in program.

 

this doc 72 pages long hope don't have fix it!

as suggested in question 1, master pages efficient way.

if know location of blurb's magenta trim lines, easy put own trim lines in right place because indesign can math. draw time line, select it, , in options bar, add or subtract distance need. can type - subtract , + add. when hit enter/return, trim line move right position.
