Can't edit a pdf with Acrobat Reader DC

i need edit pdf manuscript journal.  journal recommended "free" download of acrobat reader dc.  downloaded fine, found editing capabilities limited being able insert post-it comments on mac pc (os 10.10.5).  when clicked on "edit pdf" found had subscribe adobe creative cloud $24.95 per month (or commit $14.95 per month year).  chose former , downloaded adobe creative cloud.  went acrobat reader dc downloaded prior purchasing month on creative cloud, , did not find have editing capabilities looking for, such adding new text, running line through text wish delete, etc. can open pdf document wish edit in acrobat reader dc, still have option insert post-it notes.  how editing stage?

no release of adobe's acrobat reader can edit pdf page content, export pdf page content or create pdf.

contemporary releases provide in-built "links" online subscription services provide measures of pdf "manipulation".

 

to accomplish appear interested in have purchase license current release of adobe's acrobat pro or subscribe it. once "paid" can download installer, install desktop application , use acrobat pro edit, create, export, build forms, add acrobat javascript, etc.  alternative "pro" version "standard" version. alternative rather less robust.

Adobe InDesign CC 2017 has stopped working

after installing indesign cc 2017 first time, when try launch application error "adobe indesign cc 2017 has stopped working" i have tried following: uninstalling , reinstalling indesign deleting files c:\users\<user>\appdata\roaming\adobe\indesign , c:\users\<user>\appdata\local\adobe\indesign i've uninstalled (i think) fonts had downloaded , installed restarted computer many times signed out of creative cloud , signed in   i able install , run on different computer i'm assuming there sort of conflict or missing component on computer.   computer details: processor intel core i7-4770k ram 16 gb os windows 10 pro ver. 1607 build: 14393.447 video card nvidia geforce gtx 970     this error windows event logs: faulting application name: indesign.exe, version: 12.0.0.81, time stamp: 0x57f545c7 faulting module name: appframework.rpln, version: 12.0.0.81, time stamp: 0x57f547eb exception code: 0xc0000005 fault offset: 0x000000000009fa88 faulting process id: 0xcac...
