Custom Brush can not be found! ?

i admit new illustrator me, not illustrator. not computer savvy, manage play photoshop , make many composite images think there hope!

 

i using macbook pro laptop os x el capitan 10.11.6

 

i started illustrator cc 2017 subscription , trying 1) create custom feather brush , 2) save custom brush can used future projects.

 

my first issues began when creating brush, program kept locking eg. spinning wheel, not responding commands, swearing, screaming, etc...

 

i did restart computer (a few times), same thing happened. managed make brush , tried many ways brush 1 of brush libraries, pain, finally, successful in getting new brush appear in 1 of brush panels, after leaving document , going new document brush found.

 

so, might doing causing program lock up?

 

how save custom brush appears in brush library?

you need open library want brush appear in , add brush brush panel in file.

 

if want brush appear in new files, add new document profile use.

 

but since illustrator locked when creating it, might want first check if maybe complex.

 

you create own new library of brushes.
