Installing CS5.5 on new laptop - says serial number invalid?

hi,

 

i've had adobe cs5.5 several years - firstly on old laptop , pc, wanted transfer new laptop (pc had died in between, new laptop access cs5.5).

 

i did 'deactivate permanently' thing remove on old laptop , went through installation process on new one, tells me serial number invalid. know isn't right because i'm entering right number , bought original product directly adobe (so no issue of potential bad/pirated copies here).

 

is there can solve without calling helplines? (other forum answers seem suggest long conversations person @ call centre puts down phone on them...). i'm not in financial position go , buy version of , want existing product work.

windows 10 , mac el capitan/sierra not compatible old software

 

an idea may work install and/or run old programs in windows 10... works some, not others

-right click program icon or exe , select compatibility mode in pop option window

-or run administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 assign full windows permissions may help... says encore, required adobe programs (this not same using administrator account)
