Unable to save raw conversion settings

i know has been posted already: opening jpg file in acr (9.7) , when done, get

 

"unable save raw conversion settings.  there error parsing file."

it mentions potentially non-standard exif content gives trouble acr (even though every other program tried has no issues reading exif content, far can tell). in post suggested "adobe pretty strict adhering standards , not known bending on backwards try recover if something's out of place.":

the curious fact jpg file has been produced by... photoshop cs6 on mac (i on windows box). source of problem? in case seems if problem of not following standards, internal adobe problem....

 

i can send example of problematic jpg @ adobe, if there wants investigate , possibly fix issue.
