Getting my PSE14 Organizer tags transferred to PSE 15 Organizer

i upgrading pse14 pse15. when upgraded pse13 pse14, somehow lost of tags, , had spend hours manually putting them in. so, question is, when update pse14 pse15, best , foolproof way new organizer import / restore of previous tags? in pse14, made backup file using backup catalog in file menu. so, should use restore catalog catalog feature after install pse15 ensure tags back? or there better way?

migrating version of elements newer 1 common task. have problems you, other migrate without problems depending on task:

1 - old catalog (the folder can find menu >> system information) located on same computer on want install new elements version.

2 - installing new elements version on (newer...) computer.

 

keep in mind in case, never import (= register, index) again files new catalog.

 

case #1 : when install new elements version, @ end of process, installation asks agree 'convert' old current catalog. new catalog created in new pse15  format. old one, renamed -1 suffix still available. nothing changed in picture files. no risk @ corrupt files or present catalog.

case #2 : use backup , restore method.

move elements organizer catalog | elements 6 or later

you select master folder destination restore. catalog , media files folder tree written on new destination while keeping links in database new location of media files. if restore process initiated pse15 organizer, after restore, 'conversion' described above take place automatically. here again, original media files , catalogs not changed (the old catalog renamed).

Adobe InDesign CC 2017 has stopped working

after installing indesign cc 2017 first time, when try launch application error "adobe indesign cc 2017 has stopped working" i have tried following: uninstalling , reinstalling indesign deleting files c:\users\<user>\appdata\roaming\adobe\indesign , c:\users\<user>\appdata\local\adobe\indesign i've uninstalled (i think) fonts had downloaded , installed restarted computer many times signed out of creative cloud , signed in   i able install , run on different computer i'm assuming there sort of conflict or missing component on computer.   computer details: processor intel core i7-4770k ram 16 gb os windows 10 pro ver. 1607 build: 14393.447 video card nvidia geforce gtx 970     this error windows event logs: faulting application name: indesign.exe, version: 12.0.0.81, time stamp: 0x57f545c7 faulting module name: appframework.rpln, version: 12.0.0.81, time stamp: 0x57f547eb exception code: 0xc0000005 fault offset: 0x000000000009fa88 faulting process id: 0xcac...
