Can math operators be used when doing numerical input?

i seem recall in earlier versions of photoshop, possible simple math calculations when inputing numeric values dialogue boxes or options tools.  example if existing value of parameter (like width) 7.87, halve enter 7.87/2

 

in way, i've answered own question under photoshop cc, because rejects math operators.  feature taken away? 

some scripts , plug-ins may able handle input that.  would  think expect  integer or plane numerical value.  programs can parse , evaluate parameters pass them , prevent invalid data / ina dialog field accept numerical value.  other reject passed if not expected. there not standard 1 way input fields handled in dialogs. not dialog seen in photoshop programed adobe. users , third party vendors program plug-ins abd scripts may use in photoshop.
