Make Illustrator's Pen tool work like Photoshop's

the pen tool in illustrator , photoshop identical, illustrator's has major shortcoming photoshop's not. in photoshop, can click endpoint of curved, deselected path , continue curve, because control handles left intact. in illustrator, clicking on endpoint of path results in corner. there is, knowledge, absolutely no way continue curved path in illustrator without redragging out control handles , thereby changing them. in photoshop, if curved, deselected path ends in smooth anchor point, , want change corner when resume path, can option-clicking anchor point. illustrator should work way, too.

if click, hold down , drag, able continue curve.
