Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro

i have adobe acrobat 9 pro , every time try , use it, adobe prompts me dialog box stating need enter serial number. that, it's accepted, prompted upgrade.   cannot afford buy new version, , frankly feel shouldn't have to, because bought , want use version.   able continue using version, , how?

well, it's quite old version, not compatible current operating systems (anything beyond windows 7, example), should still run if install on older machine. can disable updater under edit - preferences - updates, , might cause pesky notifications stop.
