my designer loaded files on dropbox me download , save.  when try download file, message:  'could not find linked file "shin.psd".  choose replace select file or ignore leave link unchanged.'  i'm using free trial version of ai on windows 10 home.  strange because file names in dropbox end in .ai when download error message says .psd.  shouldn't .ai?

there photoshop file named shin.psd has been placed inside illustrator file designer. illustrator telling photo not available. can “ignore” message , open illustration see if need photo or not (they may have used reference, or may important part of design). if need it, contact designer , ask them upload shin.psd well. keep located in same directory illustrator file , should fix problem.

Adobe InDesign CC 2017 has stopped working

after installing indesign cc 2017 first time, when try launch application error "adobe indesign cc 2017 has stopped working" i have tried following: uninstalling , reinstalling indesign deleting files c:\users\<user>\appdata\roaming\adobe\indesign , c:\users\<user>\appdata\local\adobe\indesign i've uninstalled (i think) fonts had downloaded , installed restarted computer many times signed out of creative cloud , signed in   i able install , run on different computer i'm assuming there sort of conflict or missing component on computer.   computer details: processor intel core i7-4770k ram 16 gb os windows 10 pro ver. 1607 build: 14393.447 video card nvidia geforce gtx 970     this error windows event logs: faulting application name: indesign.exe, version: 12.0.0.81, time stamp: 0x57f545c7 faulting module name: appframework.rpln, version: 12.0.0.81, time stamp: 0x57f547eb exception code: 0xc0000005 fault offset: 0x000000000009fa88 faulting process id: 0xcac...
