Losing my editing display

i'm newbie trying transition pinnacle studio.

 

i start editing working ok.

 

if dbl click on video clip big wide display/panel. sound, video frozen. if click on timeline, video moves , no sound ??  can’t find way normal display sound , video works editing.

 

then @ times display shows video , sound. however, bar below shows progress , sound levels, not move.

 

i have display mode in ‘composite’.

 

i clicked on wrenches , did right clicks, , not find way.

 

there seems no rhyme or reason, i'm sure i'm not doing right.

- whats premeire version ? whats file format , codec ?

 

- can take picture see layout, may need reset workspace , restart program.

 

- if dont have of user setting try reset premiere default preference  :

 

• to restore default preference settings, hold down alt (windows) or option (mac os) while application starting. can release alt key or option key when splash screen appears.
