Question about Lightroom Printer dialog box

hi,

i'm running lightroom cc 2015.7 under macos 10.12.1 printing epson 3880.

 

i'm confused "printer..." option in lower right of print module.

in other adobe cc apps (photoshop, indesign) there option setup printer settings (media type, output resolution, highspeed on/off, etc) in printer driver. once save settings, there option save, take photoshop or indesign's printing module can print.

 

however in lightroom, there 2 options: "print" , "printer..."

"print" prints based on current settings in lr's print module

"printer..." brings printer driver, once have set settings, there no option "save", "print"

if choose "cancel" not save changes.

 

this different long term behaviour of ps & id.

can shed light on this.

if click on presets window, should menu can save current settings preset.
